Films
Q: How did you get started in film?
A: I was doing small projects and a friend of mine who worked in the film industry gave me a call and asked me to be at Screen Gems in North Carolina in 20 minutes if possible. They were casting a film and they needed a big guy that could act. So, of course, I naturally got my black ass down to Screen Gems. I auditioned for the role and it was given to me on the spot. I was cast in my first move ever, "20 Funerals". They liked what I did and months later they offered me a larger role in "Dead Heist". From there I got an agent and got more serious about the film business. The rest is history.
Q: What do you like about film?
A: I love the atmosphere of film sets, being surrounded by many people living their dream.
Q: Who is one of your favorite actors you worked with?
A: Tom Sizemore because he was one of the most talented that I've ever personally seen. He has the ability to make the scene so real that the cameras and the crew almost disappear and at times I found myself watching his performance when I should have been delivering my own. True talent. I aspire to be that good.
Q: What is your most memorable character that you've done so far?
A: Chester in the 27 club was my most challenging character. I played a homeless mentally challenged man. For that I had to really dig deep and it showed me what I was really working with as an actor.
Q: What is a role that you would like to play in the future?
A: I would like to play a real person, someone's true story.
Q: Who would you like to work with in the future?
A: I'd really like to work with Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, Halle Berry, and Sandra Bullock.
Q: Where do you see yourself in your future of film?
A: It's my goal to leave my mark in film historically and to be hopefully become an iconic actor.
